Freshmen Renon and Hildebrandt start seasons 4-1

The Lakeland College wrestling team began the 2009 by going 1-3 on Saturday, Nov. 7 at the Lakeland Duals.
Freshman Ryan Renon wrestled at 157 and finished the day undefeated with a 4-0 record. Renon's freshman teammate Cory Hildebrandt lost one match to Concordia Morehead at 125 and finished 3-1.

The Lakeland men's soccer team played MSOE on Oct. 27 at home.
The men fought through a tough battle going into double over time at 1-1 but in the end MSOE found the net ending in a 2-1 loss for the Muskies. Jacob Kleinschmidt scored the lone goal on an assist from senior Ted Cormier.
Concordia Wisconsin defeats Muskies 7-0 in season finale

Lakeland's women's soccer team conceded four goals in the first twenty minutes of the first half on the way to a 7-0 loss to Northern Athletics Conference tournament qualifier Concordia Wisconsin in the final game of the season on Wednesday Oct. 28 at home.
Cheese Bowl win pulls Lakeland into two-way tie for first place in the NAC

The Muskie's defense hit their stride as they held Maranatha to 29 yards of total offense. On Halloween day the Muskies (4-4, 4-1 NAC) defeated Maranatha (0-8, 0-5 NAC) in not-so-par conditions, as they had to endure a muddy field.
With this win, the Muskies pulled into a three-way tie with Concordia Chicago and Concordia Wisconsin at the top of the NAC standings.
Schreiber wins his 300th game; team plays Hope College in Michigan today

Lakeland volleyball head coach Chad Schreiber earned his three-hundredth career victory when the Muskies defeated Wisconsin Lutheran, 25-21, 25-18, 25-23, on Nov. 3 in the Moose & Dona Woltzen Gymnasium.
Entering the NAC tournament the Muskies were the second-seed, and they advanced to the semifinals with this win.

Already the holder of multiple all-conference honors in two different sports, Lakeland athletic records, and the respect of her coaches and professors, KC Blahnik, with graduation in her sights isn't ready to get nostalgic just yet.
In her final season in a Lakeland basketball jersey, KC Blahnik is firing on all cylinders, averaging 17.
