The theme for this year's window painting contest was prime time at Lakeland College. With themes ranging from "The Sopranos" to "Survivor" to "Sportscenter," the windows of the campus center definitely delivered.

Thirteen windows were painted, representing several organizations. Habitat for Humanity started the window procession off with a theme inspir son saying that he did not have any improvements on the best football team. Next came Global Student Association (GSA) with a depiction of the "Iron Chef," a cooking show. Perhaps one of the most intricate designs this year, GSA painted a Yin-Yang sign with a muskie in the top half and a half-baked falcon in the bottom half.

Grosshuesch Hall went with the ESPN "Sportscenter" theme and included dates and times of soccer, volleyball, and football games, followed by Muehlmeier Hall with their own version of MTV's "Real World" theme. Alpha Psi Alpha recreated the "Charlie's Angels" logo. It was realistic and harkened back to the Seventies icon. Phi Delta Omega followed with a Scooby Doo window depicting a detailed picture of Scooby Doo on a box of Scooby Snacks with party favors bursting out the top.

Krueger Hall came next and portrayed a Weakest Link picture; using the slogan "You are the weakest link. Good-bye!" and featuring a crying falcon. LC-CAB's window featured the television show "Taxi" and went with a simple, but effective painting of a taxicab in a television set. The newest organization on campus, the Lakeworld Outdoor Adventure Club had the aptly named Survivor theme, with the "Who will survive?" slogan and paintings of a goose, a muskie, former Director of Residence Life Brad Knotts, and a club member.

The Black Student Union portrayed the dating show "Eliminidate." They used names of schools that Lakeland has played in past football games, with Concordia next on the list to be eliminated. Pi Kappa Gamma had a seventies style dance party on their window with their "Soul Train" theme. "That Seventies Show" was the subject of the Zeta Chi window. It had a retro style with red, blue, and yellow streaks throughout the window. The window had a similar feel to the Arizona state flag. The Beta Sigma Omega ended the window painting procession with "The Sopranos," featuring three wise guys holding paddles.

Winners judged throughout the week will be announced tonight at Mr. Muskie, but the windows can still be enjoyed since they are displayed throughout the weekend.
