The wheels of choice of Lakeland College students

Lakeland College bustles during the school day with students going to and from their classes. On many occasions, students use their cars to get to class and even go to work, go home, etc. Every day and night, the Lakeland College parking lots are crammed full of cars of all shapes and sizes. This got me to wondering, which style of automobile is the most popular around the Lakeland campus?
I personally drive a Pontiac Grand Am and have seen many cars like it. This led me to first assume that the Grand Am is the most popular car. This answer still didn't satisfy my hunger for knowledge because I didn't have any hard facts to prove it. So I decided to conduct an elaborate investigation.
The parking lots for Muelhmeier, the apartments, Grosshuesch, and the suites seemed like the only places that the students would park during the night. The survey had to be taken at night because the majority of the campus is in their rooms at that time and not out driving their cars. I walked around campus for about an hour jotting down makes of cars and tallied the recurring and trendy styles.
The results shocked me. The Pontiac Grand Am came in second place. I was stunned to see that there were more Chevrolet Cavaliers than there were Grand Ams. Dodge Neons, being fourth on the list, didn't surprise me because of the vehicles popularity and the fact that they are ever present as I cross the street on my way to the campus center. I think the big stunner for me was the Ford Taurus which I had recorded about nine times throughout the campus. A few other notable cars just missing the top ten included, the Ford Mustang, the Mercury Cougar, and the Pontiac Sunfire.
All in all, I found 81 different styles of cars out of a total number 223. These results really show the diversity in student's tastes for cars. Only 45 of the styles were owned by at least two people on campus. If I do my math correctly that means 36 styles of cars are unique to the Lakeland College community.
