Run, scream, or hide, but there will be no chance to escape what Lakeland College is surrounded by. Many unusual things occur in Lakeland's buildings and around campus. From moving items, lights turning on and off, to a piano playing during the night, strange things have been happening. The only explanation that many people face is that ghosts exist at Lakeland.

Ashlee Campbell, a freshman who lives in Krueger Hall, reported odd things happening in her dorm since the month of September. "My roommate Katie and I were lying in our beds. She turned on the table lamp and I turned off the light switch to the ceiling. Within two minutes, the light switch turned itself on," Campbell stated. Krueger Hall seems to be the place for the haunted actions. Many other previous incidents have been reported.

Last year, girls on the first floor were having multiple problems with electric appliances being turned on and things turning up missing. Two years ago, two girls on the third floor moved out because they saw a woman's figure in their bedroom window. There was even an incident three years ago in which some girls left the school because a figure walked through their door, grabbed stuff off their desk, and walked out.

A few years after Krueger was opened there was a girl whose boyfriend broke up with her and she hung herself in room 11. With respect for her family, the room is no longer being used as a dorm, but it stores pillows.

Dr. Al Wangemann, director of the museum reported several supernatural incidents. Back when the third floor of Old Main was the place for the music department, two janitors stated that they heard music coming from a room up there. The music sounded like the compositions of Dr. Kutz who played at Lakeland a long time ago. The janitors went up to the room, but they could not find anybody there.

The Fine Arts building used to be the Founders gym. It was used as the gym, the auditorium, and a place to hold concerts. People have seen the curtains move by themselves and they were not able to figure out why. One night a woman, who was in Founders heard voices that sounded like there was somebody practicing a play, but when she turned the lights on and looked behind the curtains, she was unable to find anybody there.
