Assistant Director of Admissions Brian Biddle will be saying goodbye to Lakeland on December 31, 2003 when he pursues a career in Minneapolis working in a high school setting.
Biddle, who has a bachelor's degree in criminal justice with a minor in psychology, hopes to be the Assistant to the School Success Program in public high schools in Minneapolis and the surrounding area.
"Going into the high school arena will be a big change," he continued. "I am pretty excited about it. I am also excited about getting back to the big city, as I grew up in one. This job change will also help me be closer to where my two sons are."
"I will be working as peer person or liaison and counselor to high school students," he explained.
Arriving to Lakeland in 1996 from Mt. Senario College, Biddle has been working in admissions ever since and has "enjoyed that quite a bit."
"I will be taking good memories with me," he stated. "I have enjoyed watching the growth of the students on campus. It is the most enlightening part of the job."
Although the decision to leave has only recently been announced, Lakeland is currently searching for a suitable replacement, a process Biddle will take an active role in.
Biddle does plan to visit Lakeland whenever he is in the area, and he states that while he is looking forward to the change, he will miss the people here.
