LC Cab's annual comedy series features four hilarious comedians performing every Tuesday in the Pub at nine pm. Three out of the four comedians have already performed and were received with slide split laughter for their use of college humor.
Tim Young was the first of the comedians, and he performed on February 3. He entertained the tough crowd, sharing his seven years of experiences in college. Young has performed over 200 college appearances as well as MTV and NBC's Friday Night.
The second comedian, which performed on February 10 had his own unique way of bringing out the kid in all of us. Dan Horn, who is not just a comedian but also a ventriloquist, brought many of his puppets and gave a performance that stood out. When Horn took the stage it almost seemed like it was not a one man show. During the program many of the students seemed to forget that it was just pretend; you could hear their emotions when Dan called his guest puppets dummies, but then he quickly corrected himself by saying "Dummy is politically incorrect. They prefer to be called Mannequin Americans!"
The next comedian, Chris Johnson, took the stage on February 17th, and because of publishing time constraints, we are unable to review his performance.
Coming on February 24th is Alex House who hopefully has a show to match up to the last three comedians.
The comedy series is among a few events that LC-CAB has in store for Lakeland College students. If you are interested to see what's coming in the next few months, here is a small peek.
