You say there's nothing to do in Sheboygan? Maybe it is just because you don't know what to do. Sheboygan County has much to offer, and so do the surrounding counties.

Well, for some background information found at www.wisconline.com, the word Sheboygan does not come from the transsexual "incesters," but rather the Native American ancestor's word, "Shab-wa-way-kun," meaning "great noise underground." Do you feel more intelligent yet?

Sheboygan County has approximately 513 square miles of land, and about 757 square miles of water. There are 72 lakes, and five rivers including Milwaukee, Mullet, and Onion River.

As in all areas, one can find bowling alleys. Sheboygan, Sheboygan Falls, and Howards Grove all have at least one bowling alley. Highly recommended is JB's Entertainment Center in Howards Grove not only because of the location, but also, the lanes and technology are nice. Some others are North Bowl and Maple Lanes both located in Sheboygan, and Odyssey Fun Center in Sheboygan Falls.

Frisbee golfing, or "frolfing," is a fun, easy, and cheap past time to pick up on, especially for college students with limited budgets. All you need is a frisbee disc easily found at Wal-Mart. Located right on the campus is a discing course that surrounds the lagoon. There are two other courses in Sheboygan. One is right on Hwy. 42 near the Jaycee's Quarry, and the other is located near Lake Michigan and Vollrath Park. If you really get into frolfing, try other courses nearby, such as Manitowoc and Port Washington.

Sticking with the fun, easy, and cheap theme, you have to go sledding once winter comes. Some parks with great hills include Kiwanis Park located just off of Kohler Memorial Drive and Vollrath Park close to the lake. In Kohler, near the high school, is a nice steep sledding hill too. The sledding hill of all hills is at Rochester Park in Sheboygan Falls.

Another idea for something to do is also located at Kiwanis Park. It is next to the sledding hill and very hard to miss. The Sheboygan Public Skatepark is a free outdoor park that allows skateboards, rollerblades, and bikes. If you're not really into the activity, maybe just drive by and watch the talented people use the various minis, two halfpipes, four quart

It'd be necessary to make in every side of the city a park like this one. There are lots of skaters that can't "practice".
