With about two-thirds of the season in the books, the Muskies must rebound to boost their 4-7-1 record above .500. The rest of their season consists of Lake Michigan Conference (LMC) opponents, aside from Finlandia University.

After their devastating lost to St. Norbert, the Muskies battled Carthage College. The game was much closer as Carthage squeaked out with a victory of 1-0. The only goal was scored within the first few minutes of overtime, which dropped the Lakeland record to 3-5-1.

The next match against Aurora looked promising after the first half of play with the scored tied 2-2. Lakeland only had 2 shots on the goal compared to 14 from Aurora, but the Muskies took full advantage of their shots. Sam Schroeder recorded the two goals with assistance from Zach Buchman.

If the Muskies could have kept up their shooting percentage in the second half, then the game could have gone in their favor. Unfortunately, Lakeland was shut out in the second half as Aurora added five goals to secure the victory 7-2.

Aurora dominated the shots on the goal with a total of 17 compared to Lakeland's 7, which will equate to shooting percentages of 41% for Aurora and 28.5% for Lakeland. This loss put the Muskie record at 3-6-1.

The Muskie offense came up empty against UW-Whitewater and tallied the third straight loss as their record tumbled to 3-7-1. Lakeland looked more alive in the second half by shooting more at the goal, but it did not add points to the score.

Starting the LMC schedule with Wisconsin Lutheran, the Muskies got back on the winning track with a 3-0 shutout. Scott Kress scored two goals on four shots and Chris Christopherson added one more on two shots. Lakeland dominated shots on goal 12-3, and had a 25% shooting percentage. This win gives the Muskies a 4-7-1 record and a 1-0-0 record in conference.

The next game is against LMC conference opponent MSOE and the men intend on staying undefeated in conference play.
