Lakeland nets another NAC victory against CU-C

On Dec. 6, the Lakeland women's basketball team beat Concordia-Chicago 60-50.
With Lakeland losing 15-10 eight minutes into the game, freshman Brittanie Paulus hit an inside jumper that jump started a 12-0 run that included scoring from six different players. The Muskies went into the half with a 30-22 lead.
The second half continued with Lakeland increasing their lead to 15 with 16:41 left to 42-27. The Muskies cruised to a victory.
The Muskie defense held Concordia-Chicago to 29 percent shooting and out rebounded them 46-32. Lakeland shot an impressive 42 percent from the field, but they didn't make a three pointer for the second straight game.
Senior Jenna Boehm dominated the paint and led the team in scoring with 20 points, hitting 7 of her 14 shots. She also snagged nine rebounds.
Senior Danielle Duranceau was a force inside as well by grabbing a team-high 14 rebound. She also contributed 10 points, which is her first double-double of the season.
Paulus had a solid defensive effort by swiping three steals, snagging four rebounds and recording a block. Freshman KC Blahnik added six points and six rebounds.
