On Nov. 28, the Lakeland women's basketball team lost to Carroll College at home 40-26.

Even though the Muskies shot a pitiful 21 percent from the floor, they went into the half down by two, 16-14. Carroll found their groove and shot 47 percent in the second half and ran with it.

The Muskies gave up a 26 point performance to a Carroll junior guard Crystal Hoewisch, who went 10 for 17.

The leading scorer, Jenna Boehm with six points and eight rebounds, fouled out with three minutes left to go in the game.

Although the offense struggled with their shooting, head coach April Arvan was pleased with the defensive effort.

"I thought defensively we did exactly what we wanted to do," Arvan said. "We knew that Hoewisch was going to get her points but still scores only 20. Hopefully at some point we'll be able to correct that, but if we don't, maybe at some point down the road we'll win 26-25."
