Traveling to Wheaton, Ill, the Lakeland Wrestling team picked up their second victory of the year against Wheaton College on Nov. 30. The 33-13 win pushes the Muskies record to 2-3 on the year.

An outstanding seven of nine competing wrestlers picked up victories on the night. Pins came from sophomore Jonas Flok over opponent Eugene Savenok at 4:57 and Mark Vanden Hoogen pinned Chase Campbell in 4:52.

Also wrestling very well for the Muskies was fellow captain, Paul Hartt. The junior picked up a five point tech fall over Lars Skoglund, 20-3.

Sophomore Everett Wood picked up a major decision against Dan Glenn, 12-2. Decisions were picked up by Kory Theil and Justin Tomal. Sophomore David Copp picked up six points from receiving a forfeit at the 125 pound weight class.

"We did pretty well as a whole," said head coach Pete Rogers. "We had some close matches, and our wrestlers were able to come out on top."
