Mark Vanden Hoogen has been perfect this season. His undefeated record of 8-0 was enough to rank him eighth in the country at Heavyweight in Division III. In only eight matches the senior captain has racked up six pins, including one against then fifth ranked heavyweight Ryan Rozek from UW-Platteville in the Lakeland Duels.

Vanden Hoogen would again defeat Rozek in the finals of the MSOE individual tournament. This victory earned him the Most Outstanding Wrestler of the tournament. The senior also leads the team in team points with 43 on the year already, and average of 5.375 a duel.
