Washers always busted
We can't wash clothes if the washers don't work

Lately though, I feel like I have been deprived from this laundry arousal due to the fact that the washers and dryers in the suites tend to somehow break every other week. I didn't know we gave the children in the daycare center the project of building these things.
Isn't there anything that can be done? I mean honestly, if something is fixed once, it should be set for awhile and not break again. Well, maybe not the things that I build by hand, but still.
That's not the only thing that is disturbing, though. What has been bothering most people these last couple of months is the laundry police on North Drive. The laundry facilities in the suites are broken, so where do residents do their laundry then? Brotz Hall! But wait, the laundry police seem to be getting a little ticked off lately at the suite residents for doing their laundry at Brotz. They have gone as far as to call security and kick people out of the laundry room. Now if you ask me, this is very childish.
I mean seriously, just because the "suite siders" pay lower housing fees, does that really mean that we have to be grunge like Pigpen from "Peanuts" when our laundry facilities are broken?
It's ridiculous. As an on-campus resident, I feel that I pay enough tuition to be able to do my laundry wherever and whenever I want. I didn't know I had to try to sneak through windows and doors in order to finish my laundry. Believe me, trying to sneak through a window with five loads of laundry and a lack of coordination on my part is no easy feat.
It is as if my fellow suite neighbors and I are illegal immigrants trying to cross the border. North Drive is the big fence, and the almighty Brotz Hall laundry room is the "land of prosperous laundry facilities;" but you have to be careful when trying to cross that border. The higher powers will call security on you if you get caught washing your clothes. Pretty soon, they might even put sensory lasers and surveillance cameras in as well in order to keep "the wrong" people out.
See how silly that sounds? It is ridiculous. Back in the day, people had to use soap and a washboard -no, not my abs- a washboard as in one of those things they used to use to wash their clothes. They all did it in the same river too. Was anybody complaining then? Heck, people even drank the water that other people did laundry in; that takes commitment.
